Behind the doors of the public appartments, we can find ancient curiosities cabinets or rooms where the king Louis the XIV was displaying his collections of stones or works of art, called Private appartments.  Those little rooms became a way for the successors of Louis the XIV : Louis the XV and Louis the XVI, to keep a private life. In those appartments, they were receiving friends and could be more preserved from the severe “etiquette”.

With this tour, you will discover the place were Louis the XV was attacked by a religious fanatic or the room where his dogs were allowed to stay after the hunt! We will also admire the beautiful library of the king Louis the XVI and his gambling room.
